I totally agree. How many times did I see myself or others who tried for 20 which had zero reward get flamed for having no lives? I wonder how many of the flamers tried for the title.

When a party is given the option of entering a no-way-back quest, every party member must confirm the motion with no time limit. Because this quest is in a town, and, if one denies a move to accept the quest, the proponent can simply leave the party or kick that one, I can see no successful argument against this necessary precaution. I have a level 12 presearing character and am considering going for the LDoA title.
Best Regards,

If you re-zone while party is still loading, you lose them.

This is an all time low as far as I'm concerned. And I thought I was sore when I died in UW and this jerk refused to res me, and took my ecto drop!
This is in my opinion the worst exploit yet to surface. Fix it immediately, PLEASE. The most noticeable net effect of this exploit is that no perma-pres are going to join together with any new players to help out, because of the risk of being dragged. That's something they should care about.

The one solution (which has been said already) is simple. Make it so both people have to agree to accept the mission.

It appears the solution is both simple and necessary.

new technique
i ran into a player by the name of Ggaylord Humperdink today. he was using the search feature and advertising he was "buying all dyes". when i told him i had some dyes to sell him he immediately sent me an invite so he could find me. once i accepted and clicked his name i saw on the mini map that he was by sir tydus. so i just clicked leave party. immediately after i clicked leave party his character disappeared followed by him PMing me with hahahahahahaha you cant go back your stuck here. fortunately i was not dragged into post by him. so just a heads up, people are using different ploys now. ppl like that make me sick.

Im probally not up to date wit the latest Pre stuff but im pretty sure you can just log out while in the Pre-Arena or the quest after and you will be returned to Ascalon (and at one point you could just map travel out of the Areas also.) If things are still the same I dont see any big deal with it, just do one of those to get back to town.

Once you go into the arena all the outposts are removed from your map so you cannot just map out as far as i remember! Even if you close guildwars you will just load up in the arena again once you log back in.

What the heck? That's just idiotic, SURELY if one wishes to stay in pre searing (for one reason or another) then they must have the opportunity to close down GW before they beat the charr boss which triggers the cinematic. Isn't that simple to program into GW? The cinematic triggers post searing, and only beating the charr boss triggers the cinematic.
Anywho, /signed, definitely.

Personally I love this idea. But, only because it opens up a GIGANTIC loophole for achieving LDoA (and the survivor title, possibly). So, of course, it will never be implemented.

Bout 5-6 months ago. The reason it was changed was because of an exploit.
People were killing the boss and exiting GW windowed and it would put you back in pre with all quests reset. Which meant people could repeat the quests for xp, and keep doing that to get to 20.
When it got patched it wasn't a listed update, but those who tried that got sent into post automatically for trying to do it again.

It should be safe to help those who lack a secondary profession
Just as it's impossible to get "kidnapped" into postsearing when you lack a secondary profession, joining a party to help a new player should be safe as long as that other player has no secondary profession.Anyhow I agree fully that "kidnapping" a level 19 character for the purpose of killing its chance to obtain the Legendary Defender of Ascalon title has to be among the worst form of griefing possible in Guild Wars if not THE worst so I'm supporting this petition.
Since Gaile Gray has posted numerous times on this thread, aNet is obviously aware of the issue so I expect this issue to be resolved.

There's a simple and practical solution for all of you who have worried about this. Before you invite them to your party, find them on the map. If they aren't standing near Tydus, you can be sure he isn't going to do it. If he does, you can see him on the map if he walks in that direction.
Simple, yet effective.

Until this problem is fixed, just make sure the other person ain't close to Sir Tydus before joining their party. YOu can easily target them in party window before accepting, and if they ain't next to gate, just don't accept. And if you accept and they start running to Tydus, you have 20 seconds worth of timing leaving party.
I'm NOT defending what they do, but until this problem is fixed.. this is still the best solution.
